The franchise of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), khulna Titans has announced on Thursday that they have signed former Australia captain Shane Watson for the 2019-20 season as a sign of 2 direct foreign players. BPL, which starts in the first week of December this year, Watson is expected to be available for the full season.
Khulna Titans Managing Director Kazi Inam Ahmed said, “We are very happy to have Shane Watson in the franchise. He is a champion player who has won many titles for his country and he has done fantastic work for the world’s franchisees. His winning thinking and experience Will be beneficial for our team. Hopefully he is gonna be the key for us to win the title for which we have been working hard.
Watson said that he is very happy to join the franchise and and will try his best to take make the team title contender, who finished in the bottom of the points table last season.
“I am very happy to join the Khulna Titans for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League season,” said Watson, “BPL is such a tournament in which I always thought of playing and finally I got a chance to play.” It is a privilege to be part of the a league which includes both local and foreign players, “said the Australian cricketer.
“The fact is that I got an opportunity to play in front of Bangladesh’s glorious Cricket Fans, coaching and management are trying to create a fantastic team, hopefully we will win this season title.”
