Ashes 2019 is expected to be one of the biggest of the all time ashes series. This year’s Ashes series will be held in England from August 1st till September 16.
First Australia defeated England in the World Cup league stage but England came back in style and knocked Australia out of the World Cup after England beat Australia in the 2nd Semi-Final. So we can expect one of the toughest Ashes this year.
Ashes 2019 will consist 5 Test matches which is to be played at Birmingham, London, Leeds, Manchester and back to London for the 5th Test match of the series. Both teams are yet to announce their Ashes squad yet but Eoin Morgan or Joe Root can be seen leading the English team while nothing can be said for Australia.
After an impressive captaincy in the World Cup, we can expect Aaron Finch to lead the Aussie’s squad while David Warner and Steve Smith could be the key players for Australia. In bowling department Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins could lead the charge for Australia.
Just before the Ashes start, we have seen some changes in both teams staff member. Mark Ramprakash has been removed as a England batting coach while Adam Griffith and Troy Cooley will join Australia squad for the Ashes to work alongside head coach Justin Langer.
Jason Roy, who has been performing very well for his team in the World Cup could be the key player for England team while English players expect Jofra Archer to make his Ashes debut this year, he has taken 19 wickets in the World Cup so far.
