David Warner, who is returning to Test cricket after a year’s ban, has been injured right before the Ashes. During the net session, fast bowler Mike Neser’s ball took the inside edge of Warner’s bat and hit on his knee. After this Warner left the practice and returned to the dressing room. Physio David Bekley examined him and said that it’s not a serious injury.
Warner’s hamstrings were strained during the World Cup. In this case, the team is hoping that he will be fit before the first Test in Edgbaston.
From August 1, the first Test match of the famous Ashes will be played, before that Australia will not want Warner to be hurt in any way because Warner has a amazing record in Test cricket. He has scored 6363 runs at an average of 48.20 in 74 Tests and has scored 21 hundreds.
Warner was banned with Steve Smith and Cameron Bancroft for ball tampering during a Test match on a tour of South Africa in March 2018. Warner and Smith made comeback in international cricket earlier this year. Both had played in the World Cup too.
