The defending champions of the IPL, Mumbai Indians, have joined by New Zealand fast bowler Trent Bolt. Delhi Capitals released him for Mumbai Indians. At the same time, Kings XI Punjab has handed over their star fast bowler Ankit Rajput from last season to Rajasthan Royals and replaced him with Royals all-rounder Krishnappa Gowtham.
