Veteran cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has advised the Indian batsmen to bat aggressively, instead of being vigilant against Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir in the match on Sunday. The Indian team is still invincible in the tournament and they are now contesting against their rival Pakistan, against whom it will start as the strongest contender for the win.
Tendulkar, in a conversation with a TV channel, he said, “I will not leave the balls empty against him and will not play with negative mentality. I will encourage the Indian players to play their shots and stay positive.” He said, “You also play defensive game and become positive. There is no need to change anything. We will need to be aggressive in all departments. Body motions are important. The bowlers know that if you defend the score with full confidence then you are in control”
Tendulkar believes that Pakistan who have till now won a single game will keep Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma on target. He stated, “Rohit and Virat are two most experienced players in the Indian team and there is no doubt that Pakistan would be paying attention to the dismissal.”
Tendulkar said, “Amir and Wahab Riaz will definitely target their wicket at the start, but Rohit and Virat should also pay attention to playing long innings. The strategy should be done in such a way that the rest of the players play around them.”
