Afghanistan mentor Phil Simmons said that he will venture down from his situation after the finish of ICC World Cup 2019.
“I have contemplated it and I have really given the ACB (Afghanistan Cricket Board) my notice that I won’t reestablish my agreement. I will proceed onward to something other than what’s expected once my agreement lapses on July 15,” ESPN Cricinfo cited Simmons, as saying.
The previous West Indies opener took the charge back in December 2017 and said that he helped ACB in accomplishing their objective of meeting all requirements for the chief competition.
“I joined initially for year and a half and I think I have completed a great deal in this period. It is the ideal opportunity for me to proceed onward to something different at this point. To need to get to the World Cup – that was ACB’s objective at the time they designated me,” he said.
“My objective is dependably to leave things superior to anything when I joined: the manner in which we practice, the manner in which we consider the diversion, the manner in which we survey different groups. I’ve attempted to help the players in every one of those territories,” Simmons included.
