Sohail Akhtar still keeps up that his group is the ‘best’ right now Bank Limited (HBL) Pakistan Super League (PSL), regardless of losing their second round of the period against Islamabad United by one wicket at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Sunday.
While addressing media in the post-coordinate question and answer session, the Qalandars chief was sure about making a solid rebound in the competition.
“It is simply a question of one game. When we are on the triumphant track then I believe that our group is the best group of this competition considering our batting and bowling line-up,” Sohail Akhtar said. “We despite everything have eight matches to go, so we will attempt to make a solid rebound.”
Qalandars had set up a mammoth 182 for six, in the wake of being approached to bat, at the rear of Mohammad Hafeez’s unbeaten 57-ball 98 in which the all-rounder struck seven fours and seven sixes.
Akhtar was loaded with acclaim for the veteran-allrounder’s urgent thump against United.
“Hafeez bhai is the best batsman in Pakistan after Babar Azam,” he said. “He is a senior player and we anticipate a major innings from him. Shockingly he got out from the get-go in the primary match, yet he is our principle players and our batting spins around him. He played splendidly today.”
Qalandars will confront Peshawar Zalmi in their next match of the competition on February 28, in Rawalpindi, with eyes set on their first win of the competition.
