Obed McCoy, the 22-year-old left-arm pacer, has been incorporated into the Windies squad for the rest of the T20I arrangement against England. McCoy will join the squad in St. Kitts, where Windies play the keep going two T20Is on Friday (March 8) and Sunday (March 10).
McCoy, who made his ODI debut in October 2018 in the arrangement against India, grabbed four wickets. McCoy had before thought of great exhibitions in the Global T20 Canada and the Caribbean Premier League.
McCoy’s consideration for the staying two T20Is against England comes in the wake of Andre Russell’s withdrawal from the arrangement “because of an unfavorable response he had to a therapeutic system done in Dubai before he traveled to the Caribbean,” as indicated by the CWI restorative board.
Squad for the second and third T20Is: Jason Holder (c), Fabian Allen, Devendra Bishoo, Carlos Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, John Campbell, Sheldon Cottrell, Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Shai Hope, Obed McCoy, Ashley Nurse, Nicholas Pooran, Oshane Thomas.
