After clinching the ODI series by 2-0 against Zimbabwe, Netherland starts off the T20 series with a win by 49 runs at Rotterdam in the 2 match T20I series.
Zimbabwe skipper Hamilton Masakadza won the toss and decided that his team will bowl first. Netherland opener Max ODowd scored 30 runs while his partner Tobias Visee got out for only 5 runs.
Ben Cooper and Van der Merwe played a crucial knock of 54 and 75 runs respectively, while other batsmen failed a score a decent amount of runs, but still Netherland manages to score a huge total of 199 runs with the loss of 6 wickets.
Chris Mpofu picked the most wickets for Zimbabwe which is 2, 1 wicket each for Sean Williams, Jarvis, Raza and Burl.
Chasing the 200 runs, Zimbabwe openers failed give a good start as both openers got out for only 4 runs each. Craig Ervine scored the most runs for Zimbabwe, he scored 59 runs of 37 balls including 6 fours and 3 sixes.
Netherland picks up the lead in this 2 match T20I series by 1-0. 2nd T20I will be played at the same venue of Rotterdam on 25th June, 9PM Indian Standard Time.
