KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal were overshadowed by the Tamil Nadu team of Dinesh Karthik in the title match of fourth Vijay Hazare Trophy. Both of them batted hard and gave the Karnataka team the title of Vijay Hazare Trophy for the fourth time. Batting first in the rain-interrupted match, Tamil Nadu team was all out for 252 runs in 49.5 overs.
The Karnataka team, chasing the target, scored 146 runs at the loss of one wicket till the game of 23 overs. After 23 overs, the game had to be stopped due to rain. After which the rain did not take the name of stopping. According to the VJD method due to bad weather, Karnataka won the title by 60 runs. According to the VJD method, 86 runs were needed for the loss of one wicket in 23 overs and Karnataka’s team scored 60 more than that.

Centenary partnership between Rahul and Mayank. KL Rahul, who was out of the Indian team, performed brilliantly in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Karnataka fast bowler Abhimanyu Mithun did not let the batsmen of the opposition team to stand in front of him. He took five wickets including a hat-trick. The interesting thing is that today is Mithun’s 30th birthday and he created history by taking a hat-trick on his birthday. Murali Vijay, Vijay Shankar, Shah Rukh Khan, M Mohammed and Murugan Ashwin became victims of Mithun. Abhinav Mukund scored the most 85 runs from Tamil Nadu. Apart from him, Baba Aparajith scored an innings of 66 runs. Team captain and experienced player Dinesh Karthik was able to contribute only 11 runs for the team in the title match.
With this win Manish Pandey lead Karnataka team won the Vijay Hazare Trophy for fourth time.
