South Africa skipper Faf du Plessis has been suspended for one Test and fined 20 percent of his match expense, while his players have been fined 10 percent of their match charges, for keeping up a moderate over-rate amid South Africa’s nine-wicket triumph over Pakistan in the Cape Town Test, which finished on Sunday.
Match official David Boon forced the suspension on du Plessis after South Africa were ruled to be one over short after time recompenses were thought about.

As per Article 2.22.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Players Support Personnel, which identifies with minor over-rate offenses, players are fined 10 percent of their match charges for each over their side neglects to bowl in the designated time, with the chief fined twofold that sum.
Du Plessis had recently been discovered liable of a minor over-rate offense amid the Centurion Test against India which finished on 17 January 2018. This offense comprised his second minor over-rate offense inside a year time frame.
