Seventh edition of CPL T20 2019 is schedule to start on 4th September and will continue till October 12. Last year Trinbago Knight Riders lead by Dwayne Bravo won the title for the 2nd time in succession making them the most successful team of CPL history to do this.
The next season promises to be an absolute thriller as well. The eventual list of players, who’ve made themselves available for the tournament has recently been put forth. The list has been sent to the respective teams ahead of the draft that is scheduled to take place in London on Wednesday, May 22.
A total of 536 cricketers from 20 overseas nations and the West Indies are available to be picked by the six participating teams.
The list will include some of the big names of T20 cricket Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Shai Hope, Jofra Archer, Rashid Khan, Alex Hales and Shakib Al Hasan.
Before the draft, each team will have the option to retain and/or release a maximum of six players, but there won’t be any obligation to do so.
Retention Rules :
- Minimum of three Windies players, a maximum of four
- Maximum of one overseas player, reduced to none if four Windies players retained
- A Marquee Player whether retained or acquired
- An ICC America Player, whether retained or acquired
The CPL draft will broadcast in CPL’s official social media platforms on 2PM GMT.
