Australia are set to play England in the up and coming five-coordinate Ashes Test arrangement, starting August 1. Before the squad declaration, Australian players will highlight in a four-day intra-squad coordinate in Southampton one week from now. Tim Paine and Pat Cummins will lead the 12-man sides which are being instructed by Graeme Hick and Brad Haddin. The players were singled out Friday as Hick decided on Australia’s Test captain Tim Paine as his first pick, Haddin went for Pat Cummins. With a spot in the Ashes squad on hold, Pat Cummins feels that the match will get the adrenaline moving for every single player.
“It’ll certainly get the adrenaline up like in a Test coordinate,” Pat Cummins was cited as saying by cricket.com.au.
Graeme Hick has any semblance of Steve Smith, Nathan Lyon and Peter Handscomb in his 12. Then again, Brad Haddin’s group is pressed with effect players like David Warner, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc.
Talking on how the groups are separated, the 26-year-old quick bowler said that their personalities will be hanging in the balance in the pre-Ashes preliminary match.
“It doesn’t occur time after time – you’ll see our consciences be put under a magnifying glass, we’ll be going at one another I think. For the most part following half a month on visit a couple of chaps will cop it from different guys, airing their complaints over the visit,” Pat Cummins included.
