What’s the story ?
Zimbabwe Cricket has been suspended by the International Cricket Council (ICC) with immediate effect on Thursday. It was told that the board failed to put an end to government interference, due to which the action has been taken on the Zimbabwe Cricket Board.
ICC President Shashank Manohar said that Zimbabwe have violated the ICC rules and for this reason they have been banned. He said “We want our game to remain away from political interference.”
“What happened in Zimbabwe is a serious violation of the ICC rules and we can not let this situation remain the same. ICC wants cricket to continue in Zimbabwe but according to the rules of ICC constitution, the board should work as per the rules” Said Shashank Manohar.
