Sanju has scored a double (212 runs) century in 129 balls against Goa while playing for Kerala in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the List A tournament played in Indian domestic cricket. As a result, he has become the first wicket-keeper batsman to have double roots in Indian domestic cricket. Sanju hit 21 fours and 10 sixes during his innings.
Not only this, Sanju has become the first wicket-keeper batsman in the world to score 210 runs in the List A tournament of the world cricket, as well as the wicket-keeper batsman who scored the most runs in an innings. In this episode, he has left behind Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Abid Ali. His name included an innings of 209 runs as a wicket-keeper batsman.
Apart from this, the innings of 212 runs played by Sanju is also the biggest innings played in this tournament itself. Earlier K.V. Kushal’s name included the most innings of 202 runs.
