Lahore leg of the Pakistan Super League has been moved to Karachi refering to strategic and operational difficulties, Pakistan Cricket Board reported in an announcement.
The choice has been made because of the postponed opening of the Lahore airspace for business flights as the political strains among Pakistan and India have been on the ascent recently.
Following the deferred opening of the Lahore air terminal, the PCB has confronted difficulties including verifying creation hardware and the responsibility of communicate group, just as finishing the coordinations for the authorities and groups.
PCB administrator, Ehsan Mani, said the load up had considered moving dates of the matches however it was beyond the realm of imagination as Pakistan group is set to leave for the UAE on March 19 for their arrangement against Australia.
“We had thought about the choice of moving the dates of the eight matches in Pakistan, but since the Pakistan cricket group needs to leave for the UAE on 19 March for the ODI arrangement against Australia, this was impractical.
“We additionally took a gander at swapping matches among Lahore and Karachi, however lack of time would have rendered this choice unworkable.”
As per the reconsidered calendar, the Pakistan-leg matches will begin on March 9 with Lahore Qalandars confronting Islamabad United at National Stadium Karachi.
