India have rested Virat Kohli for the last two ODIs and the ensuing three-coordinate T20 arrangement in New Zealand.
“Thinking about his remaining burden over the most recent couple of months, the group the board and senior choice advisory group are of the view that it would be perfect for him to advance beyond the home arrangement against Australia,” the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said.
“There will be no swap for Mr. Kohli in the squad for the New Zealand arrangement. Rohit Sharma will skipper the side in the last two ODIs and T20I arrangement.”
India went 1-0 up in the five-coordinate ODI arrangement against New Zealand on Wednesday, whipping the Kiwis by eight wickets in Napier.
India are because of host Australia for two T20s and five ODIs one month from now, in front of the World Cup in England.
