Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell is taking a break from cricket to manage emotional wellness “challenges”, administering body Cricket Australia said on Thursday.
“Glenn Maxwell has been encountering a few challenges concerning his emotional well-being. Subsequently, he will spend a brief span away from the game,” group analyst Michael Lloyd said in an announcement.
“Glenn Maxwell was proactive in distinguishing these issues and drawing in with care staff.”
Glenn Maxwell, 31, played in the initial two matches in the continuous T20 series against Sri Lanka. He showed up in fine structure as he scored 50 years in the principal coordinate in Adelaide on Sunday.
He won’t play with prompt impact and has been supplanted in the T20 squad by all-rounder D’Arcy Short.
