Cricket is a game in which we see some changes every year. There are so many common changes that do not even remember after a few years. Like when the rule of ‘super-sub’ came a few years ago, when it went secretly, it was not known. But some changes change the entire game map. One-day and T20 formats in cricket were such changes. Now 100 ball cricket is also going to be added to this change.
International cricket started in 1877. This year, the first Test match was played between England and Australia. This format remained the same in cricket for almost 94 years. Then ODI cricket came and in the 21st century T20 cricket made its place with great force. Incidentally, the creator of cricket was also involved in the first ODI and first T2 International match like England Test. Now the same England is coming with 100 ball cricket. According to a report, the process of announcing teams and selection of players can begin on October 3.
By the way, 100 ball cricket England’s domestic clubs are already playing. But the England and Wales Cricket Club (ECB) has now decided to give it a wider view. They have made a complete plan for this. England now wants to make 100 ball cricket as popular as T20 cricket. For this, they have decided to organize a league of 100 ball cricket on the lines of IPL in their country. In it, Chris Gayle, David Warner and veteran can be seen playing all over the world. According to the proposal, the first league of this format may be held in July-August next year.
If you are looking at 100 ball game as just one format, then you are making a mistake. There are many such rules, which are quite different from current cricket. Assume that when these formats start on a wide scale, then you will need to read their rules separately. Right now in Test, ODI and T20 cricket, an over is of 6 balls. But this will not happen in 100 ball games.
