Yesterday night we saw the CPL T20 Draft for CPL 2019, in this years Caribbean Premier League Draft we saw more than 500 players made themselves available for the 2019 CPL Draft in London including Rashid Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell.
After last night’s draft 2 teams are looking strong contenders for 2019 CPL final they are Trinbago Knight Riders and Jamaica Tallawahs both team contain some big hitting players such Gayle and Russell both in the Tallawahs and Pollard, Colin Munro, Sunil Narine and both the Bravo brothers in the Knight Riders team.
The 1st draft pick was Alex Hales for Barbados Trident, we saw Lasith Malinga got picked by St.Lucia Stars.
Nicolas Pooran, Shoaib Malik, Shimron Hetmyer all player got retained by Guyana Amazon Warriors while Darren Sammy retained by St.Lucia Stars.
The Nepali bowler Sandeep Lemichhane is set to play for Barbados Trident after they picked him in round 5. While TKR( Trinbago Knight Riders ) picked Denesh Ramdin as a wicket-keeper batsman and Pakistani pace bowler Mohammad Hasnain will also play for TKR.
Most surprising was Rashid Khan, Shakib Al Hasan, Jofra Archer remained unpicked after the rest of the draft. Also reminded unpicked is the Indian pace bowler Irfan Pathan who also made himself available for the draft.
CPL 2019 will start from September 4 and will end on 12th of October, after the draft every team is looking strong but it will be only 1 of them who will come out as CPL 2019 Champion.
Will it be the defending champion Trinbago Knight Riders or Jamaica Tallawahs or someone else will end up having the trophy in their hand, we will find out soon when season start.
