Coronavirus symptoms affected sports all over the world as all upcoming series either canceled or will be limited to closed door.
1-Pakistan Super League 2020
The PCB had decided to go ahead with the five PSL matches in Karachi after getting advice from the Sindh government and Thursday’s match saw a large turn out at the National Stadium.
The PCB also advised all team members to avoid handshakes and fans have been urged not to approach players for autographs and selfies. The teams have also been requested to limit public appearances.
Khan said the decision was taken on advise of the Sindh government.
“This decision has been taken to protect the health and safety of the spectators, players, officials and media.”
2-Road Safety World Series 2020
Road Safety World Series has been canceled due to the coronavirus threat. With the COVID-19 spreading like a fierce blaze, the coordinators have chosen to defer the competition to May or October, subject to players’ accessibility.
3-IPL 2020
According to “Details of Visas Granted by India” manual on the Ministry of Home Affairs, Clause 40 (xv) specifies: “Foreign nationals who are engaged in commercial sports events in India on contract (including coaches) like Indian Premier League, Indian Soccer League, etc. with remuneration. They may be granted ‘B-Sports’ Visa with multiple entry facility for 13 appropriate period. Such a foreign national shall comply with all the statutory obligations like payment of taxes, etc.”
