After the West Indies tour, the name of China’s mobile company Oppo can be removed from the team India team from September. In March 2017, the company, which has signed an agreement of 1079 crore rupees for five years, can give its rights to the Bangalore-based company, Byju’s, which offers online tuition in education and technology matters.
According to sources, the Times of India report said that Oppo has decided that they will soon give the rights of Team India to Byju’s because they believes that the amount of jersey of Team India in 2017 was very high, which is currently The company is not getting ready on the scale.
Oppo had bought this right in March 2017 for 5 years for Rs 1,079 crore. Byju’s has been founded by Kerala entrepreneur Byju Ravindran and it is worth 38,000 crores in the industry. Think and Learn Private Limited is its parent company.
OPPO company has been working on it since last two weeks. As a result, it is hoped that the Oppo logo will be removed from the team India jersey after the West Indies series, and on the upcoming home series against South Africa, the team will be fielded with Byju’s logo on the jersey.
On this, a BCCI official said that in the deal, the BCCI would get the same amount as Oppo was giving the company. There is no loss in it. This deal will last till March 2022.
